Hello, Friends -

This week has me hard at work doing some research on the Natural Christianity project. Most of my efforts have been focused on establishing a good outline for the material and deciding on the best way to work through the various subtopics. But I’ve also managed to publish a new post titled Reclaiming the Occult.

Yeah, it’s a provocative title, but that was a little intentional. My argument in the article is that the word “occult” has become a loaded word - unnecessarily. And it’s time to take back a term that was hijacked.

Anyways, I hope you’ll go check it out and maybe even leave a comment and let me know what you think!

One of the more interesting pieces of content that I came across this week was a link to the YouTube video titled Joseph Campbell and the Power of Myth: Watch the Six-Part Series with Bill Moyers (1988). I can’t overstate how important Campbell’s work has been to the subject of comparative mythology and comparative religion. If you are interested in that type of stuff, the interview is well worth your time.

Also, if you enjoy the interview, they also published a book by the same name that is essentially the transcript of the interview. You can order a copy here.
